Guests and the Organizer celebrated the launch of the HKGPC on 4 October 2007.

The HKGPC Launching Ceremony was commenced by Dr. Priscilla Leung,
Chairlady of Green Council Executive Committee, who welcomed all guests and
introduced ideas behind the HKGPC logo.

Dr. Priscilla Leung (Chairperson of Green Council) opened the HKGPC Launching Ceremony by giving a welcome speech.

Opening remarks were provided by the officiating guest, Mr. Edward Yau JP,
Secretary for the Environment. Mr. Yau stated that green purchasing policy is essential for
market demand dominating "circular economy" development, and
pin-pointed that it is a right choice in joining the HKGPC, in using the power to demand for what
the business wants and what the business thinks is beneficial to the environment.

All guests were attracted by speech given by Mr. Edward Yau JP (Secretary for the Environment).	Ms. Linda Ho (CEO of Green Council) presented a souvenir to the officiating guest Mr. Edward Yau JP (Secretary for the Environment) after his speech.

Ms. Linda Ho, CEO of Green Council, spoke about the importance of green purchasing, the
environmental initiatives performed by Green Council, and introduced the HKGPC in details with
special thanks to the Founding Members, Advisors, Supporting Organizations, Sponsors and
other parties involved in the establishment of the HKGPC.

Ms. Ho also emphasized that the HKGPC membership not only can provide the business
community with guidance and support in formulating and implementing green purchasing policy
and strategies, but also with immediate public recognition as a progressive and
environmentally concerned organization.

To mark the formal establishment of HKGPC, representatives of eleven HKGPC
Founding Members were invited on stage to perform the "green coin commitment" and toasted for
the success of the HKGPC with Mr. Edward Yau JP, Dr. Priscilla Leung and Ms. Linda Ho.

In cerebrating the establishment of the HKGPC, congratulatory messages were received from
the United Nation Environment Programme, Environmental Bureau and
the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
