Green Council is the supporting organization of the "5th Eco Expo Asia Trade Fair", which held on 3-6
November 2010 at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE). A pavilion was set at Booth No. 3C14 with over 15 members
from different cores including Hong Kong Green Label Scheme (HKGLS), Hong Kong Green Purchasing
Charter (HKGPC) and our online environmental preferable products platform (Cyber Green Centre)
joining hands to deliver the Green messages.

The "Hong Kong Green Awards 2010" (HKGA 2010) is organized by Green Council with an aim to encourage corporations in Hong Kong to include environmental considerations in their operational and management processes, and present themselves as corporations that having high environment consciousness and social caring. The HKGA 2010 is a golden opportunity to demonstrate your corporate social responsibilities contributing to the greening of our city throughout the years.
The HKGA 2010 comprises the "Green Purchaswi$e Award" (GPA) and "Green Office Management Award" (GOMA). The GPA recognizes and praises local corporations with their outstanding performance on green purchasing while the GOMA offers recognition on their achievement on implementing environmental management in offices.
There are total 19 international organizations, local government departments, industrial and commercial associations, professional organization and other education institution as the supporting organizations of Hong Kong Green Awards (HKGA) 2010. In addition, the HKGA 2010 organizing committee composition includes representatives from academic sector, certification sector, engineering sector and purchasing experts. In addition, the judging criteria is developed with the professional input from 3 honorable advisors including Mr. Robin TAYLOR, Chairman of Global Eco-labelling Network (GEN), Prof. Hidek NAKAGARA, Chairman of International Green Purchasing Network (IGPN), and Prof. Anthony CHIU, Director of Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production.
